Huron County, ON – As announced in the spring of 2024, the Avon Maitland District School Board (AMDSB) did not renew the Employment Services contract for Huron county with Employment Ontario. The new provider for these services beginning February 1, 2025 will be Agilec.

AMDSB will however, continue to provide Adult Education services to both Huron and Perth counties, and these details will be posted on the AMDSB website soon.

Jane Morris, Superintendent of Education said: “We are thrilled that Agilec will be taking over this important service for residents of Huron county and we look forward to continuing our support in the area of adult education. We are confident that the transition to this new provider will be smooth with little or no disruption to service.”

Agilec will be delivering services at 41 West Street in Goderich (current AMDSB location), while also supporting the surrounding communities of Clinton, Exeter, Seaforth, and Wingham through future itinerant services.

With 40 years of experience, Agilec has been a leader in employment services, connecting individuals with meaningful career opportunities while helping employers build strong, dynamic workforces across Ontario.

“We are honoured to expand our expertise into Huron County, marking an exciting chapter in our mission to empower people, strengthen communities, and create positive change in the lives of those we serve,” said Cameron Bullock, VP of Operations at Agilec. “Our goal has always been to build impactful connections between job seekers and employers, and we look forward to providing employment services that drive success and foster economic growth in this community.”

Stay tuned here for more information about the transition.
