Closing the Gap Healthcare (CTG) is dedicated to providing Canadians with the highest level of care across a wide range of home-based and community-setting services. As a leader in the home- and community care industry, CTG is pioneering a one-of-a-kind paid healthcare education program.
We are excited to be relaunching our very own Home Support Worker program for the 4th year in a row. This program is a great entry point into the healthcare field, offering paid virtual classroom training, hands-on experience, and potential employment opportunities upon completion.

Location: This position is based in Muskoka, ON and will include travel within the region.
(Gravenhurst, Bracebridge, Huntsville, North of Huntsville (Burk’s Falls, Sundridge), and East/West areas- Port Severn, Emsdale)

What is this program all about?

You will:

Learn the value and impact of home care in the community
Support individuals with daily routines like bathing, dressing, eating, and personal hygiene and peri-care.
Receive training in household management, and safe mobility practices
Build confidence in basic health assessments and reporting
Become a trusted member of a multi-disciplinary care team

What qualifications are needed to be successful?

A genuine desire to work in healthcare

A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle

Strong interpersonal skills and able to connect with a variety of individuals
Full-time availability for the entire 10- week training period
