DUTIES:
– Create specials for day and week
– Prepare and cook complete meals, individual dishes and foods
– Prepare and cook special meals with dietary restrictions if requested by customer
– Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers
– Oversee kitchen operations
– Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
– Clean equipment, kitchen and work area
– Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
– Work as a team
– Operate dishwasher when required
– Operate fryer, grill, saute and oven
REQUIREMENTS:
– Experience as cook considered an asset
– Comfortable using cutting tools, cookware, kitchen gas equipment, etc
– Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
– Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
– Ability to work as a team
– Excellent communication skills
– Good physical condition and stamina to be able to stand for long periods of time
– Reliable transportation as there is no public transportation
– Able to work days, evenings and weekends
