We are looking for compassionate caregivers PSW , RPN, RN in Beeton, Collingwood, Orilia and Penetanguishene Ontario , to join our team. We are looking for committed individuals who are responsible, reliable have strong communication skills, are tech suave, and able to problem solve on the spot.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide personal care to clients as outlined in their care plans.
Assist with errands / special outings
Housekeeping duties
Provide companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping (whatever it takes to help a senior stay at home).
Adhere to providing personal care and help clients with their ADLs that is within the scope of practice for a Personal Support Worker
Assists clients in all activities of daily living/ hygiene assistance, bathing, grooming, linen changes and so forth.
Medication Reminders
Ensure Caring elements are included in every client visits
Assists clients with transfers, ambulation and exercises.
Meets the safety needs of the client and uses equipment safely and properly.
Functions within the limits of own experience and knowledge, and practices safely and competently within the job description.
Completes records and documentations accurately and thorough
Requirement/ Qualifications:

MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED WITH THE 3rd SHOT**
An asset if you own vehicle and have a valid driver’s licence
Personal Support Worker Certificate (or first year Nursing Student)
Registered and in good standing with CNO
Current CPR Certificate
Negative TB Test result / Chest Xray, valid within 6 – 12 months
Valid Criminal Record Check with vulnerable adult sector cleared , valid within 6 – 12months
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English
Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Designers when needed.
Note**** The Nurses and Personal Support Workers should be comfortable to work in COVID environment

Nurses must be able to identifies client risk factors including, but not limited to, falls, dysphagia, nutrition, development of contractures, resident at risk for elopement or social isolation and reports finding to the RN for follow up assessment’

Administers PO, SC, IM, G/J Tube, topical ointments, nebulizers/inhalers and suppository medication including observing, monitoring, reporting and documenting therapeutic effects;

Performs nursing protocols and follows up on nursing / medical protocols including

Post urological surgery
Skin and wound care
Braden Scale and Morse Fall Scale assessments
Bowel and bladder protocols initiated by a physician and assessed / documented by nursing staff
Catheterization (male/female)
Specimen collection
Pain management – assess and monitor medication effectiveness and advocate for resident
Infection control protocols

Experience:

patient care: 1 year (Preferred)
Licence: RPN / RN(Required and in good standard with CNO)

PSW (certificate)
Two professional references

Part-time hours: 48 per week
Salary: $30.00-$60.00 per hour

College Diploma or equivalent
