Job Overview
We are seeking a Junior Law Clerk (Administrative Assistant NOC 13100) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in legal support and administrative tasks, with the opportunity to work closely with legal professionals.
Duties
- Thorough knowledge of legal documents, filing systems, and clerical administrative practices.
- Must be proficient in use of Divorcemate, Excel, Word, Outlook and Cosmolex
- Drafting, proofing, editing and transcribing legal documents and general correspondence.
- Exceptional client communication skills.
- Coordinating bookings for client meetings.
- File management including organizing and managing documents and preparation of documents for client’s cases.
- Maintaining open and closed files as required.
- Preparing and following up on monthly and quarterly billing statements.
- Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
Experience
- Graduate of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program or relevant experience.
- 2+ years’ experience working as a Administrative Assistant, in a law firm is an asset.
- Proficient in Word and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize work, multitask and meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with client information.

Position: Permanent Full Time
Wage: $27.00/hour
Hours: 35 per a week
