Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educators and Assistants to join our team at Beaver Creek Daycare for all Toddler and Preschool age groups starting in September 2024. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and educational environment for young children. Responsibilities:
– Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities and lesson plans
– Create a safe and supportive learning environment for children
– Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through engaging activities
– Monitor and assess each child’s progress and provide feedback to parents
– Collaborate with parents and colleagues to ensure the best possible learning experience for each child
– Maintain accurate records of each child’s development and behavior
– Follow all licensing regulations and maintain a clean and organized classroom
Skills:
– Childcare: Experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting
– Computer Skills: Proficient in using computer programs and educational software
– Education: Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
– English: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
– Organizational Skills: Ability to effectively manage time, resources, and classroom materials
– Time Management: Strong ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
– Previous experience working as an Early Childhood Educator or in a similar role(preferred)
– CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
– A clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check (or willing to obtain)
– Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
-Professionalism, strong work ethics and excellent teamwork skills
-Ability to use frequent light to medium physical effort: lifting up to 20kg (44lbs.), bending and stooping, picking up a child
-Ability to work outdoors for at least 2 hours daily year-round; may be exposed to heat, humidity or cold
-Flexibility and adaptability regarding assigned working hours
– Proof of up-to-date immunization record (TB, Tetanus, MMR, and Polio) required by Public Health
-Applicants are required to be a minimum of 18 years of age as per Ministry guidelines
– Reliable transportation: ability to commute to location, or willing to relocate
-Legally entitled to work in Canada (Please don not apply if you are not in Canada, as we cannot sponsor oversees candidates at this moment)
