Agilec is proud to announce the launch of Employable YOU, an employment program funded through the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy that empowers youth with the skills, knowledge, and experience they need to successfully transition into the labour market.
Employable YOU offers a targeted approach to career development, providing participants with the tools, resources, and support they need to overcome barriers to employment and secure meaningful work. This wrap-around program includes pre-employment workshops, accredited skills training, paid job placement, and one-on-one coaching, all tailored to the unique needs of youth.
Participants in the program will benefit from:
- Pre-Employment Workshops: In-class employment skills training that cover topics that include transferable skills and self-awareness and also provide certificates such as First Aid, WHMIS, and Smart Serve.
- Accredited Skills Development: Financial supports for those wanting to obtain a license or certificate through an accredited college.
- Paid Job Placement: On-the-job experience through a paid placement once job ready.
- Customized Career Coaching: Continuous support with coaching and mentorship as well as retention support upon hire, ensuring a smooth transition that can lead into meaningful and long-term employment.
