We are currently seeking a skilled Marine Mechanic to join our team. As a Marine Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vessels and equipment. If you have a strong mechanical knowledge and experience working with power tools and hand tools, we encourage you to apply.
Duties:
– Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, summerizing & winterizing of vessels
– Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on vessels and equipment
– Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs
– Use power tools and hand tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble components
– Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
– Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects
– Other tasks as required
Requirements:
– Knowledge of Mercury and Volvo engines
– Proven experience as a Marine Mechanic or similar role
– Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of boat systems
– Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools
– Excellent problem-solving skills
– Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy
– Good communication skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $23.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
Schedule: Day shift – Monday to Friday
Overtime and Weekends as needed

Ability to Commute: Brechin, ON (required)
Work Location: In person
Work alongside other mechanics. Work is not just summer but well into the fall/ winter with winter projects. Wages are top dollar based on experience. Marina only 20 minutes south on Hwy 12 out of Orillia and is located on Lake Simcoe. If needed, staff housing available if commuting from a distance. Contact us today.
