This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic work environment and a variety of tasks. As a Waste Technician, you will spend 70% of your time handling non-hazardous and hazardous waste materials, including shipping/receiving, collection, sorting, packaging, and processing. The remaining 30% will involve assisting at Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection events, where residents drop off materials like paint, oil, and other household waste items.

Responsibilities:
-Load and unload materials (physical)
-Shipping and receiving
-Manage inventories of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes
-Sort, identify and label waste materials
-Assist with household hazardous waste collection events (various sites)
-Assist with processing activities in the transfer station
-Follow all health and safety requirements
-2-3 days a week with some Saturday’s
