Are you passionate about working with children and exploring the great outdoors? Camp Kawartha is looking for enthusiastic individuals that have a passion for both the outdoors as well as working with children.
Job Overview:
We are looking for responsible people to help run our camp. For this position you must be able to live at the camp for the contract duration. As Waterfront Director you oversee maintaining a safe waterfront for both swimmers and boaters. You will also train our lifeguards in how to run a safe waterfront as well as how to be an effective communicative team. Engage in camp activities and facilitate running daily camp activities in fun and imaginative ways.
Responsibilities:
• Create a safe, respectful and fun waterfront for campers and staff
• Ensure staff are able and prepared to lifeguard effectively
• Monitor staff performance and provide feedback as needed
• Ensure the physical and emotional safety of campers and fellow staff
• Create and deliver imaginative and appropriate programs
• Maintain a clean waterfront and ensure functionality of boating equipment
Qualifications:
• Standard First Aid and CPR-C
• Recent Criminal Reference Check
• National Lifeguard
• Swim, Lifesaving, and NL instructors is and asset
