Job Summary:
As a CNC Setter/Operator, you will machine components for production. Successful candidates will monitor quality by taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, and adjusting and/or reprogramming control while adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
Job Duties:
•Setup CNC Mills by selecting the correct tools, using fixtures if necessary, and picking up offsets to produce an accurate first off part
•Run parts for production as per order amounts and to drawing specifications
•Maintain a clean and efficient work area
•Operate the CNC equipment in a safe and productive manner following all safety rules and regulations
•Preventative machine maintenance
•Comply with all applicable OHS, ESA, and other provincial regulatory laws, as well as company safety policies
•Any other duties as assigned by the Machining Supervisor or Senior Leadership team
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent
•Previous work experience as a CNC Mill Setter/Operation, preferred
•Knowledge of G&M Cords, Preferred
•Must be able to work in a team environment
•Experience with HAAS CNC mills and lathes, preferred
•Ability to machine all types of materials (steel, aluminum, stainless and plastics)
•Must be able to read precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges)
•Must be able to read a print
•Must have good communication skills
•Must have good math skills
•Ability to work assigned hours plus overtime as needed
•Great Attention to detail
•First and foremost, prioritizing quality in all job tasks
Physical Requirements:
•Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
•Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Salary: $20 +/hour based on experience & shift premiums
