The general duties and responsibilities for All Ontario Recycling are listed as follows:
· Assists with repairs and preventive maintenance on Fleet Trucks/Trailers and Yard equipment
· Assists mechanics and apprentices as required
· Cleans and maintains shop equipment and tools
· Performs minor equipment repairs in the field
· Maintains shop in a clean and orderly manner to ensure a respectable and safe working environment
· Checks batteries and fluid levels in equipment and replaces or replenishes as needed
· Performs lubrication and related maintenance
· Other duties as assigned by Lead Hand or Management
Qualifications & Job Requirements
· Grade 12 or equivalency preferred
· Ability to utilize various hand tools, including spray gun, sander, grinder, grease gun, hydraulic jack, welding tools, etc.
· Must be mechanically inclined
· Must be comfortable using computers
· Must be comfortable standing and walking throughout the full shift
· Comfortable working in outdoor conditions when required
· Good communications abilities
· Ability to work independently and under direction
· Must be well organized and able to work with minimal supervision
· Positive team player able to work as a team or individually
· Promote Apprenticeship Programs for the qualified candidate
Physical Demands
· The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
· Frequently required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, handle tools, and lifting of material
