The Manager, Operations Performance & System Improvement manages the programs, resources, and staff that provide business intelligence support to the senior leadership team to drive system-level improvements in the delivery of efficient, safe, and patient focused healthcare. This role is central to the successful operationalization of the organizational strategic plan, centered around patient-focused operational readiness and response.

Responsibilities:
 Leads the senior operational leadership team in development KPIs across all organizational spectrums to support strategic, operational, and tactical goals.
 Functions as subject matter expert to operational project teams to support deliverables.
 Harness existing business intelligence tools to support the creation of dynamic, high-value reporting and monitoring suites.
 Analyzes the needs of various operational units and organizational tables to create and evolve customized intelligence tools to meet business needs.
 Uses an in-depth understanding of front-line operational staff issues to develop and implement employee-focused reporting tools that support field performance, employee engagement and well-being.
 Oversees the technology and innovation team with the ongoing development and evolution of electronic patient care reporting applications.
 Oversees the development, implementation and enhancement of frontline facing technology applications to meet regulatory and performance needs.
 Leads the ongoing multidisciplinary analysis of business, operations and clinical needs to ensure existing platforms continue to meet requirements.
 Designs and leads an integrated organizational approach to employee feedback collection, analysis, and utilization for improvement.
 Develops and implements a standardized, organized, and integrated framework for staff feedback collection (surveys).
 Acts as a subject matter expert in the development of standardized metrics, questions, analysis rubrics that improve employee engagement and participation in feedback processes and reliable ongoing data collection and analysis.
 Leads the inter-disciplinary multi-level analysis of feedback processes and facilitates knowledge translation to departmental and organizational leadership.
 Coaches and develops a team of top talent creating a culture that fosters engagement, passion, and enthusiasm for the organization’s vision, mission, and values.
 Uses change management to support the implementation of transformation initiatives and business process reengineering.
 Implements process and technology changes to improve and address challenges in our systems and reduce non-value-added work for their team.
 Focuses on data integrity and quality to provide greater insights and timely analysis, leading to better data-driven decision making.
Qualifications:
 10+ years of medical operations / administration experience, 5 years of active frontline clinical practice in a high-performance air/land service or acute care hospital setting.
 Lean Six Sigma Certified or similar quality improvement methodology certification.
 Experience managing or supporting operations in a unionized healthcare environment.
 Experience leading the development and implementation of key performance indicators within a healthcare context.
 Project management experience in a healthcare or aviation setting
 Experience understanding, analysing, and applying complex regulatory frameworks.
 Experience with design and implementation of survey methodologies.
 Emergency medical services (EMS) experience with an understanding the EMS environment and the intricacies of supporting a large geographical operation footprint.
 Concurrent experience in an aviation/air ambulance setting considered an asset.
 Broader Public Sector experience preferred.
