 Facilitate and lead programming of the Vets in Training program, as well as other groups, as
 Plan veterinary related activities and games for small and large groups
 Responsible for supervising a group of up to 20 participants
 Responsible for supervising, leading and participating in Animal presentation sessions
 Reporting to Manager, Community Programs about health or behavioural problems with program
 Responsible for maintaining a positive, energetic environment for all of the participants and
addressing any disruptive behaviour or concerns
 Ensure safety measures and HSKWSP policies are followed at all times
 Must have education and experience working as a Veterinarian, or Registered Veterinary Technician
 Must have previous experience presenting information and activities to groups
 Must have experience with animal education
 Ability to develop presentations and related training/educational resources
 Strong communication skills
 Computer Literacy – Microsoft Office Suite and experience with standard office equipment (i.e.
printer, fax, etc.)
 Ability and comfort with interacting with diverse participants, and ensure participants are treated
fairly and with respect
