Job Description
We are looking for a self-motivated pharmacy assistant or pharmacy general helper who can perform technical duties and support pharmacist in dispensary.
Previous Pharmacy experience an asset, not required. Pay will vary based on your experience. Must be available to work until 6pm on weekdays and occasional weekends (Saturday 10-3/ Sunday 11-2)
Requirements
• Entering, Processing Prescriptions, Billing in Fillware (we will train you if you have not used this software but experience with other pharmacy software’s)
• Accurate dispensing prescription medications
• Compounding (training provided)
• Inputting Patient information in COVAX (covid shot software). Training will be provided. Must be comfortable with computers.
• Inventory management (ordering/receiving/returning stock, checking expiry)
• General OTC enquiries from patients and referral to Pharmacist where required and necessary
• Handling customer prescription pick up.
• Assisting with cashier responsibilities as required in the Pharmacy.
• Maintaining cleanliness of the pharmacy
• Adhere to all confidentiality and privacy requirements.
• Proficiency in ANY pharmacy software an asset
• Must be comfortable with computers and performing simple math calculations.
• Flexibility to work till 6pm and on some weekends.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking AND STAND on your feet for entire shift
• Excellent customer service skills, organized, detail oriented.
• Team player and able to work with others. Takes initiative (“go-getter” approach)
