We are looking for an extraverted Supply Chain / Purchasing Specialist knowledgeable in policies and procedures in importing and exporting products and familiar with the type of technologies manufactured by Precision Resource. If you have experience purchasing a wide variety of supplies or services while ensuring cost effectivity and on time material availability, are challenged by deadlines in a fast paced, high volume environment, are self-motivated, energetic and display positive enthusiasm toward being the best you can be we are interested in talking with you.

Responsibilities:
• Analyzing supply chain processes and recommending improvements to increase

efficiency and costs.
• Develop and maintain strong relationship with suppliers and negotiates pricing and terms with suppliers
• Analyzing customer demand forecasts to determine how much product should be

produced and in what time frame.
• Reviewing data on current inventory levels to identify any shortage or overages.
• Maintaining relationship with suppliers to ensure they are meeting quality standards

and can deliver the product on time.
• Creating reports about supply chain activities such as cost analysis, distribution analysis,

feasibility studies, etc.
• Purchase of raw materials for manufacturing products or service through contracts and purchase orders with suppliers.
• Determine the best method for transporting goods from one location to another based

on time requirement and cost considerations.
• Analyzing and initiating cost savings purchased supplies for the manufacturing processes
• Train and support other team members and implement new supply chain technologies and processes

Qualifications and Skills

A supply chain specialist typically needs to have the following qualification:
• A Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics or related field
• Experience in Metal and automation manufacturing industry
• Working knowledge in material resource planning (MRP)”system and proficient in Microsoft Office
• Minimum 2 years experience in a purchasing position or related experience in manufacturing, product engineering or machine shop quality
• Need to know demonstrates valuing diversity, inventory management skills, data analysis, problem solving, leadership and strong management skills
• Familiarity with international shipping regulations and customs is an asset
