This Crisis De-escalation Training webinar (formerly titled Crisis Intervention) will assist you to work with individuals who are in crisis.

•    How to set limits and avoid power struggles

•    Crisis intervention strategies for recognizing and defusing challenging behaviour

•    Steps that de-escalate situations and help you stay safe

•    How to respond to unsafe situations at your location

Practice

•    Non-verbal ways to de-escalate including body positioning

•    Verbal techniques for de-escalating situations on the telephone and in-person including, acknowledging perspective, rolling with resistance, and setting limits

•    R-E-S-T steps for crisis intervention
