Are you passionate about working with children and exploring the great outdoors? Camp Kawartha is looking for enthusiastic individuals that have a passion for both the outdoors as well as working with children.
Job Overview:
We are looking for responsible people to help run our camp. For this position you must be able to live at the camp for the contract duration. As Water Activity Specialist you will work alongside the Waterfront Director in maintaining aa safe and effective waterfront. You will help train staff in boating activities as well as monitor boating equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
Responsibilities:
• Create a safe, respectful and fun waterfront
• Run exposure periods, lessons, and interest choices
• Ensure the physical and emotional safety of campers and fellow staff
• Maintain boating equipment
• Train staff in how to use boating equipment
• Create and deliver imaginative and appropriate programs
Qualifications:
• Standard First Aid and CPR-C
• Recent Criminal Reference Check
• National Lifeguard
