Eclipse Automation is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join our Business Operations team in Cambridge, ON. Reporting to the Controller, the Payroll Coordinator will assist and coordinate payroll processing, in accordance with established practices and company policy.

The Payroll Coordinator job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Support the Payroll Administrator in processing bi-weekly Canadian payroll on time and in accordance with appropriate legislation
Assist in monitoring timesheets and paid/non-paid absences in the Eclipse Database
Use strong communication skills to follow up with managers and employees for missing information
Assist in monitoring employee payroll data in Dayforce
Assist in calculating and processing employee payroll deductions (group benefits, RRSP, clothing, safety shoes, etc.)
Use critical thinking skills to identify errors and investigate discrepancies in payroll information
Support the Payroll Administrator by processing garnishments and third-party requests
Assist with processing irregular payments such as on-call pay, stipend pay, shift premium and statutory holiday pay
Assist with the administration of bi-annual vacation payouts
Assist in calculating taxable benefits as they occur while ensuring compliance with CRA
Work with the Payroll Administrator to complete ROE’s through Ceridian Dayforce
Create and enter payroll journal entries as needed
Coordinate the processing of employee RRSP & DPSP contributions
Coordinate the calculation and remittance of monthly WSIB
Assist with annual reconciliations including T4’s, EHT and WSIB
Assist with the completion of T2200’s as requested
Ensure that processes and procedures are compliant with legislation and internal guidelines
Provide exceptional customer service when fielding questions from employees
Responsible for payroll related audits

Qualifications:

University Degree or College Diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, Payroll, or Bookkeeping
PCP Designation or working towards
1 – 5 years of payroll experience
Experience with Ceridian Dayforce and Sage 50 is an asset
Exceptional attention to detail is absolutely essential
Knowledge of employment standards, WSIB, EHT, and other relevant legislation
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
