Shipping (1 full time) — $19=20/hr/ Weekdays/weekends
Duties:
– Loads finished product from silos into bulk tankers.
– Packages product into bags as required. Uses automated bagging system inside or outside of plant to fill super sacs with product.
– Uses 55L bagger inside plant to fill paper 55L bags and stack on skids.
– Completes all required paperwork and labelling for shipment of product.
– Stages product prior to shipment, ensures quality approval prior to shipment, loads trucks and trailers based upon experience and approved loading plans.
– Properly packages all material in correct bag, to the correct weight.
– Operates industrial lift trucks, dock loading platform and automatic stretch wrapper.
– Ensures material handling equipment is properly inspected prior to use and is fuelled and/or charged.
– Performs other material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing, and unpacking.
– Assists in traffic office duties, such as back-up for; operation of truck scale, and receiving of MRO materials.
– Performs general manual labour tasks as required.
– Identifies the need for repairs or other attention by a Mechanic or Electrician. May be called upon to assist the Mechanic or Electrician, as necessary.
– Records all statistics as required.
– Performs clean up duties at the end of each shift.
– Provides a courteous, customer service response and attitude to all internal and external relationships.
– Ensures strict compliance to safety rules and procedures while on the premises.
– Complies with all legal requirements of the local governing laws.
– Maintains clean, safe, and organized operations.
– Other duties and responsibilities as required.
– Keeps accurate and timely records
Skills/knowledge:
– High school diploma.
– One to two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
– Ability to read and understand procedures.
– WHMIS training.
– Forklift License
