Sundridge Veterinary Services is currently looking for a Vet Assistant;
Must be physically able to lift up to 50lbs alone or in some cases animals that are over 50lbs with the help of another person
Help prep animals for surgery
-restrain animals while they receive needles and IV
-shaving and scrubbing animals in prep for surgery
-surgery monitoring and assisting (monitoring breathing and anesthetic levels)
Helping to keep the clinic clean, cleaning cages after animals have left and during their stay if necessary
Helping hand during appointments (helping to lift animals onto exam table and/or restrict them if needed)
Writing appointment notes in client folders during appointments
Putting away client folders after all notes have been added
Washing surgical tools and repacking surgery packs to be sterilized
Washing, drying, folding & putting away cage and exam/surgery table towels
Helping maintain general cleanliness of the clinic
The clinic is very small and we are a tight knit team, we all work together very closely to keep everything flowing smoothly. All staff members must be willing to help each other out when needed and must be good team players.
