This December, the Agilec Fergus office ran a sock drive for the Centre Wellington Food Bank. After raising 292 pairs of socks last year, the team set out with a goal of 300 to collect this year.

The response from the community was outstanding. Numerous people came out to donate socks and with the support from businesses and community members, the Fergus office was able to raise 857 pairs of socks!

Raffle prizes to support each donation were graciously given by Pet Valu, Canadian Tire, Fergie’s Fine Foods, Centre Wellington Sports, and Domino’s.

The Grand 101.1 was also integral to this fundraiser by advertising the sock drive and having Kelly Newcombe, Team Leader in Fergus, on the radio to promote the sock drive various times over the course of the month.

We would like to thank everyone who supported the Sock Drive and graciously donated socks and prizes. All socks were donated to the Centre Wellington Food Bank and will be put to very good use.
